We want to thank everyone who participated with us last year. This year’s event has been very special to all of us on the Bras Across the CAUSEway committee. Before the fun begins, we wanted to get together some general information to let you know what to expect on Oct. 8th.

Bras Across the CASUEway 2017 Sponsorship Levels

The Bras Across the CAUSEway’s 6th Annual 5k and 1-mile Fun Run will be held on October 8th at Meaher State Park (5200 Battleship Pkwy, Spanish Fort AL). The event is open for anyone to join us. We want to encourage you to share the event on social media, and cheer on our runners as they cross the finish line! Be sure to come hungry, because we have an amazing brunch put on by the Bras Across the CAUSEway Committee with the help of Cammie’s Old Dutch! Kids’ games and other activities will be located in the tent area to the right of the gatehouse.

Here is a list of when the events will begin.

  • 7:00 – 7:50 – Registration
  • 7:30 – Warm-Up
  • 7:45 – Survivor March- Survivors meet at the Survivor   Tent to the right of the starting line
  • 8:00 -5K Race Start
  • 9:00 -Fun Run Start

Do I need to check-in?

Yes, check-in at the registration tent

Where do I park?

Parking will be located to the left upon entering the park-Signs will be posted

Is there a charge at the park gate?

No

Where are restrooms located?

Restrooms are located to the right of the park in the area of the tents-Additional restrooms are located on the race route just past the start line

What is the route for the race?

The race will start in the park and wind around the park and then enter the causeway at the backside of the park. The causeway will have one lane blocked off for the runners-water station will be available along the route

Meaher State Park 5K Course certification by the registrar with the course number AL22027JE

Will there be an award ceremony after the run?

Yes! Top male and female Overall and top three male and female in age groups: 9 and under, 10– 14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-99. Fun Run finishers will receive ribbons.
